About the Role

What you will be doing

As a Vocational Tutor, you will play a key role in preparing pupils for future education, employment and training. You will:

1. Plan and deliver high‑quality, engaging vocational learning that builds practical, personal and employability skills.
2. Create a safe, stimulating and purposeful learning environment rooted in mutual respect.
3. Adapt teaching to meet a wide range of needs, ensuring all pupils can access and succeed in their learning.
4. Build strong, restorative relationships with pupils, supporting their confidence, independence and work‑readiness.
5. Track progress, assess learning and contribute to accreditation and reporting processes.
6. Model positive attitudes, values and behaviours at all times.
7. Work closely with colleagues, families and external partners to support positive outcomes.
8. Use tools, materials and resources safely and effectively, promoting good practice and responding to risk appropriately.

About Us

Groveside School is a Special Educational Needs School for Pupils 7 - 16 years old with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. Our school opened in September 2024 and will cater for 60 pupils.
