Purpose of the role
To work closely with team members in producing concrete in a safe, clean environment and to ensure excellent customer service. Responsible for the first impression regarding the cleanliness of the yard, plant, and facilities.
Key accountabilities
1. Coordinate with the Order Office, plant staff, and customers to meet production requirements, ensuring quality and standards as per the Procedures Manual, Working Instructions, and Technical Instructions.
2. Regularly inspect and ensure plant routine maintenance, cleanliness of plant mechanisms, areas, buildings, equipment, and facilities are maintained and cleaned according to instructions.
3. Manage waste disposal, water discharges, and dust emissions in compliance with Environmental Procedures.
4. Ensure sufficient materials are available for production demands.
5. Inspect incoming materials and perform weekly visual stock checks.
6. Ensure all employees, contractors, and visitors adhere to safety instructions.
7. Review work methods and plant utilization to optimize use of resources.
8. Comply with the Restrictive Trade Practices Act and related communications.
9. Operate within Group and Regional policies to prevent fraud and ensure lawful operations.
10. Follow Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, company safety policies, and relevant legislation.
11. Update knowledge and attend training to perform effectively.
12. Adhere to Personnel Policies and Procedures.
13. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
14. Operate batching plant and FEL to company standards, maintaining site presentation.
15. Maintain cleanliness across the site and facilities.
16. Accurately batch concrete/mortar when trained.
17. Ensure the plant is stocked with approved materials, checking stocks daily and verifying monthly.
18. Perform routine maintenance and defect inspections, recording actions taken.
19. Report any defects, safety, environmental, or quality issues that could impact operations.
20. Ensure compliance with policies on health & safety, environment, quality control, and fraud prevention.
