What will I be doing?
You’ll be involved in the assembly, testing, and development of electrochemical cells – supporting material preparation, running defined test protocols, and maintaining lab standards.
Key responsibilities:
1. Assemble and test electrochemical cells and cell stacks
2. Prepare lab materials (e.g. membranes, electrolytes – training provided)
3. Operate battery/cell test equipment
4. Maintain accurate records and support continuous improvement
5. Manage lab stock, equipment calibration, and general upkeep
We’re looking for:
6. Level 3 qualification (A-Level, NVQ, BTEC) in a science/engineering field, or 5+ years’ lab experience
7. Practical experience in engineering, electronics, or R&D labs
8. Methodical, safety-first approach with strong attention to detail
9. Willingness to learn and contribute to a small, agile team
10. Familiarity with 5S or wet chemistry is a bonus, but not essential
