Are you an organised, proactive Epic user looking to build your career in service improvement and project management?

We are seeking a Admin Information Officer to join our Epic Thrive Programme on the Admin Thrive project. This role will be key in improving how Epic can better provide staff and patients with access to the right information, in the right place, at the right time.

The ideal candidate will have experiential understanding of Epic workflows and skill at building strong relationships. You'll support the Admin Thrive Project Lead keep the project running smoothly by coordinating meetings, managing documents and reports, tracking risks and issues, and acting as a key contact for stakeholders.


Main duties of the job

As the Admin Thrive Information Officer, you will:
• Be an ambassador for the Admin Thrive project, supporting change and help develop and support a patient focused culture of excellence.

• Use experiential understanding of Epic processes and workflows to engage with colleagues in the specialties to map and understand their processes.

• Serve as a liaison between the colleagues across the Trust and the Thrive Programme Team.

• Regularly engage with admin colleagues and operational managers to analysing service needs, defining administrative best practices.

• Communicate information and issues through verbal and written briefings to the Project Lead, strategic lead/ strategic manager as appropriate

• Provide high quality project and support including updating the project plan, organising meetings and writing up documents including gap analysis.

• Co-ordinate and motivate multi-disciplinary range of stakeholders including clinicians, support staff, admin colleagues and Epic analysts.

• Act as a champion for cultural change in terms of presenting positively the benefits and risks to the customers, especially when the change is viewed as being enforced.

Academic/Professional qualification/Training


Essential criteria

* GCSE Maths and English grade C or above or equivalent qualification
* Educated to Degree Level, or equivalent Professional experience (2+ years) working within a healthcare environment


Desirable criteria

* Prince 2 Foundation or equivalent change management experience


Experience/Knowledge


Essential criteria

* Senior administrative experience in a data quality setting
* NHS experience based in a clinical unit
* Experience of using Epic Electronic Patient Record System (EPR)
* Proven demonstrable experience in organising, prioritising and planning multiple tasks and associated workloads, with the objective of meeting deadlines.
* Experience of problem solving
* Experience of training staff
* Demonstrable experience of service change management / business transformation.


Desirable criteria

* Knowledge of clinical coding, payment by results and HRG4+
* Experience of data quality reviews
* Knowledge of medical terminology


Skills/Abilities


Essential criteria

* Ability to analyse information, manipulate data and make recommendations
* Ability to communicate with all levels of staff verbally and through written communication including presentation skills
* Ability to work autonomously with the confidence to make decisions
* Good analytical and reasoning skills and ability to multitask
* Ability to work under pressure and perform to tight deadlines
* Ability to engage with Directorates to understand their requirements
* Ability to plan and organise own workload to deliver team service provision
* Ability to manage competing demands on time
* Ability to think quickly, adapt and respond appropriately to a range of varied demands
* Ability to challenge and persuade others to change their working practices to improve data quality across the Trust
* Ability to work pro-actively and co-operatively with senior management and clinical staff, especially at times of high levels of workload pressure
* Demonstrable effective user of MS/Office suite
