About the role
17. This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered
18. We know that having a work-life balance is important, so we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible in line with the needs of their role
19. The base location for this role is Greggs House Ideally, you’ll live within one hour travel of this area
What you'll do
20. Negotiate commercial and contractual terms for food ingredients.
21. Conduct key research, monitoring, and evaluation to ensure value for money is achieved.
22. Develop key relationships with suppliers to ensure Greggs requirements are clearly communicated and achieved.
23. Manage and resolve day-to-day issues with suppliers with speed and professionalism.
24. Support the Purchasing Managers in sourcing ingredients and packaging for Development activities.
25. Ensure all procurement activities align with Greggs' ethical Policies and continuous improvement goals.
26. Communicate effectively with both suppliers and internal stakeholders.
27. Support the delivery of Pledge initiatives and the development of resilient supply chains.
28. Contribute to the identification and implementation of cost-saving initiatives.
29. Support stock management and operational issue resolution.
About you

36. Have advanced Excel/IT skills to support with analysis and the ability to work with large data sets
37. Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience of analysing information and issues to identify current and potential problems and develop and implement workable solutions
38. Able to engage and work collaboratively with other teams to make improvements to processes and influence stakeholders at all levels
