Job Purpose
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, dynamic Marketing & Communication Executive to join South Staffordshire Plc and play a key role in our growth journey, supporting the external marketing and communication of a number of our Group businesses.
Marketing is a key element of Group's growth strategy, and this is a key position within the Group Marketing and Communication function to ensure, in today's fast paced and competitive landscape, that marketing activity stands out, remains current and truly makes a positive difference to business outcomes.

About You
You'll be an experienced, creative marketing executive who can work independently at pace and bring energy and innovative ideas to the team. You'll understand digital platforms, trends and tools and have the ability to leverage emerging technologies. You'll also have a flair for stand out content creation, that is clearly aligned to business goals, experimenting with new formats, visual design approaches and story telling.
You'll have the experience to work confidently across a range of traditional and digital marketing channels, building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across our many Group businesses. You'll have excellent time management, with the ability to respond quickly to market changes, trends and unexpected challenges., with the confidence to be proactive, prioritise tasks effectively and problem-solve. You will be outcome focused, using content to drive business results. We're looking for an agile, collaborative individual who has a customer centric and continuous improvement mindset, accountable for driving us forward.
The role
Responsibilities
Set clear marketing objectives aligned with Group and individual business goals
Develop marketing plans that integrate on and offline channels
Maintain and enhance brand reputation, consistency and authenticity
Develop original narratives and storytelling across multiple formats and channels that resonate with diverse audiences and stand out from competitors
Film and create compelling video content for social media and digital channels that are innovative, clear and capture attention
Analyse and interpret campaign performance and consumer behaviour for continuous improvement
Translate insights into actionable recommendations that drive positive business outcomes
Social listening and response to proactively build reputation and maintain customer trust
Maximise the use of the media and stakeholder groups to build awareness, share of voice, customer trust and position our businesses as trusted experts
Provide communication support for incidents in our regulated water company which may involve some paid for out of hours work
Integrate sustainability, diversity, ethical and commercial practices into all marketing plans and outputs
Skills
Essential
In depth knowledge of marketing concepts and principles and emerging trends and technologies
Strong understanding of digital platforms and tools
Excellent project management skills
Excellent copywriting, editing and proofreading skills
Experienced in creating a range of high quality, engaging video content

Creative problem solving that drives delivery and outcomes

Experience of working in B2B markets and regulated B2C environments
