About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and confident support professional to take on the role of Support Manager. This position is ideal for a highly experienced teaching assistant or support staff member ready for the next step, or for a teacher seeking a more focused, pastoral leadership role.
You will help run the day-to-day operations of a small, structured education setting, working closely with the Team Leader to support behaviour, wellbeing and engagement. This role involves guiding staff, maintaining clear routines and communication, and helping pupils make positive progress so they can move on successfully in their education.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee behaviour, engagement and welfare of pupils.
* Support the delivery of tailored behavioural and therapeutic strategies.
* Keep routines and communication consistent across the team.
* Maintain positive contact with families and external professionals.
* Contribute to assessing pupil progress and planning next steps.
* Lead, support and mentor staff in effective behaviour practice.
Person Specification
* Strong experience supporting young people with social, emotional or behavioural needs.
* Some leadership, supervisory or mentoring experience (formal or informal).
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Calm, resilient and positive under pressure.
* Committed to safeguarding and inclusive support.
