We have an exciting opportunity for a Heath, Safety and Environmental Officer to join our team at Pilgrim's Europe, Grantham, supporting and driving the Site in Health, Safety and Environmental performance. This is a development and support role within the Food Services Business Unit and direct support to the facility HSE Manager advising and coaching on Health Safety and Environment practices, compliance and governance. Become a champion of Go for Zero HSE standards within the company and carry out regular inspections, supporting on KPI submissions, advise on risk, support and protect through security, project support, Environmental protection, and continual improvement of the site's Safety culture and engagement. Accountabilities: Provide guidance, support, advice and controls across all site functions and empower front line managers to ensure Safety is a Condition across their facility and within their business unit, ensuring safe working equipment, facilities and external environments. Communicate effectively with key internal & external stakeholders; HSE Central Leadership, Engineering function, project teams Procurement, Operations, Technical, OPEX, Legal etc. on risks, issues and key changes required in reference to HSE standards, Legal compliance, systems implementations, security provision etc. Complete regular inspections of the facility on a periodic basis, respond to requests for support, document internal inspections and audits and support the Central HSE function on both internal and external audit programs. (ISO 45001, 14001, Insurance Inspections etc.) Support and educate on areas of risk with regards to the facility. Support the Go For Zero Strategy with Central HSE function The ideal candidate will be NEBOSH General Certificate qualified or equivalent and have the ability to work well under pressure and adapt to the fast paced and ever-changing environment. You will have some experience in health, safety and environmental management and systems experience e.g. ISO14001, OHS18001, HSG65 as well as knowledge of current and future UK and EU environmental and health & safety legislation You will have a passion for HSE, be focussed and results driven with strong communication skills and a team player
