Employing over 50 people they design, manufacture, assemble and test, bespoke machinery from their world-class facility. They are market leaders in the concept design and manufacture of fully automated, high precision, bespoke machines which are used to complete complex functions required to guarantee the quality of the product. Working across a variety of industries their main markets include the ophthalmic, medical and scientific sectors. They have long-standing agreements with some of the most renowned manufacturers in their sector, with a growing order book, and an excellent pipeline the future is looking exciting. This opportunity has arisen due to growth, and we are looking to recruit an electrical/controls engineer to join and experienced and settled team. Requirements What we are looking for in the Candidate: A Batchelors and/or Masters degree in electrical and electronic engineering, or a similar, relevant subject. At least one years’ industry experience, outside of placement years or internships working as a controls engineer. Willingness to travel to clients sites internationally when required. What the Role Will Eventually Become: You will be client facing right from the start of the process. This involves working with clients to agree the design specification, regular client progress and design review meetings, through to final client acceptance of the machine. Coding of software, primarily in ladder logic. This could be writing software from scratch or modifying and manipulating existing code used in a similar machine. Working primarily with Allen Bradley, ControlLogix software. Programming of HMI’s and SCADA systems, calibration of robotic systems, and the instrumentation used to monitor the process. Being the point of contact for production during the build and test phase. Design and modification to hardware designs, this could include panel layouts, schematics, and line diagrams. Getting involved in the installation, commission and SAT process – this will require some travel to clients sites. Benefits What we can offer the successful candidate: 25 days holiday a year.
