Role Overview
We are seeking a Permanent Nursery Manager for a brand‑new nursery in Luton. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a fresh setting from the ground up, shaping its culture, systems, and learning environment. You’ll play a pivotal role in the nursery setup phase and ongoing development, managing staff, operations, and delivering high-quality early years education.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, inspire, and manage a team of nursery staff to deliver outstanding childcare and education
Oversee the launch and development of the new nursery setting, ensuring smooth operations
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and day-to-day routines in line with EYFS standards
Plan, monitor, and evaluate educational programmes and activities
Maintain a safe, stimulating, and welcoming environment for children and families
Recruit, mentor, and support nursery staff to deliver high standards of care and learning
Engage with parents and the local community to build strong partnerships
Required Skills & Experience
Proven nursery management experience in early years settings
Strong understanding of EYFS and Ofsted requirements
Experience in staff leadership, recruitment, and training
Ability to set up systems, policies, and procedures for a new setting
Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
