A specialist primary school in Rochdale is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years SEN Teacher to join their team this September. This role will involve working with children in the Early Years who present with a range of special educational needs (SEN), including Autism, speech and language difficulties, social communication needs and developmental delays. The successful candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and proven experience of teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You will be responsible for delivering engaging, play-based and inclusive learning that is tailored to the needs of pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver and assess high-quality lessons within the EYFS curriculum, adapted to meet SEN needs
* Differentiate teaching to ensure accessibility for all pupils, including those with Autism, communication needs and developmental delays
* Work closely with the SENCO, teaching assistants and external professionals to support pupils' progress
* Monitor and report on progress towards EHCP outcomes and developmental milestones
* Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment that supports both academic and personal development
* Lead and guide support staff within the classroom to ensure consistent SEN provision
* Build strong relationships with parents and carers to support home-school links
* CPD and training opportunities in SEN and Early Years education

Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
* Experience teaching in Early Years (EYFS), ideally with SEN pupils
* Strong understanding of child development and SEN strategies
* A creative, nurturing and inclusive teaching style
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A supportive and welcoming team of SEN specialists
* CPD and training opportunities in SEN and Early Years education
