The role would suit someone with a strong electronic or electrical engineering background and experience within the electronic components industry.Responsibilities for Field Applications EngineerAs Field Applications Engineer, you will act as a technical resource for customers and the wider sales team, supporting technically demanding applications across sectors such as aerospace, defence, space, rail, industrial and harsh-environment markets. You will work closely with internal sales, product specialists, engineering teams, quality teams and franchised manufacturers to support long-term customer opportunities.Provide technical and commercial support to customers across the UKSupport design-in activity, qualification projects and component selectionAttend customer meetings, site visits, exhibitions and supplier visitsIdentify and develop new business opportunities across existing and prospective accountsWork with internal teams and supplier contacts to coordinate customer supportMaintain accurate opportunity, activity, visit report and forecast recordsRequirements for Field Applications EngineerThe ideal candidate will have experience in field applications, applications engineering, technical sales, field sales engineering or product support within the electronic components industry.
You should be comfortable discussing component applications with engineering, procurement and commercial stakeholders, while identifying opportunities and supporting long-term customer relationships.Experience in field applications, applications engineering, technical sales or product specialist rolesStrong understanding of electronic and/or electromechanical components and applicationsExperience supporting customer design activity and technical opportunity developmentKnowledge of components such as passives, magnetics, power products, EMC, RF, sensors or semiconductorsAbility to communicate with engineering, procurement and commercial stakeholdersFull clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across the UKTPBN1_UKTJ
