Salary: £60k to £70k
Location: Remote (with flexibility to travel to client sites, and our offices based in London, Sheffield).
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Power BI / Power Apps Developer to design, build, and maintain high-impact business solutions. You will be the go-to expert for turning raw data into actionable insights and creating custom applications that streamline our operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Solution Development: Design and deploy end-to-end Power Apps (Canvas and Model‑Driven) and complex Power BI dashboards
* Data Modelling & Analytics: Build robust data models and DAX measures to support sophisticated business intelligence requirements
* System Integration: Integrate Power Platform solutions with various data sources (SQL, Dataverse, SharePoint, APIs) and other Microsoft 365 services
* Standards & Governance: Ensure all solutions meet strict performance benchmarks and data best‑practice standards for security, usability, and maintainability
* Expert Consultation: Act as the technical lead for data architecture and app logic, providing guidance on what’s possible within the Power Platform ecosystem
Requirements
Essential skills and expertise:
* Power BI: Advanced knowledge of Power Query, DAX, and data visualisations
* Power Apps: Deep experience in app logic, formulas, and UI/UX design within the Power Apps environment
* Data Architecture: Proven expertise in data modelling, ETL processes, and relational database concepts
* Optimization: Ability to troubleshoot and tune performance for slow‑running reports or laggy applications
* Integration: Solid understanding of Power Automate (Flow) for triggering logic and connecting services
Certifications
* Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals (PL‑900)
* Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate (PL‑200)
* Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (PL‑400)
* Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect (PL‑600)
This role will require you to have or be willing to go through Security Clearance. As part of the onboarding process candidates will be asked to complete a Baseline Personnel Security Standard; details of the evidence required to apply may be found on the government website Gov.UK. If you are unable to meet this and any associated criteria, then your employment may be delayed, or rejected. Details of this will be discussed with you at interview.
