Job Advert: Senior Quantity Surveyor – Site-Based (Salisbury)
Location: Salisbury, Wiltshire

Salary: £65,000 – £70,000 (negotiable, DOE) + Company Car or Car Allowance
Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor ready for a site-focused role in a thriving housebuilding environment? We’re partnering with a respected and expanding residential developer to recruit a talented QS to take the commercial lead on high-quality new build housing projects in the Salisbury area.
This site-based position places you at the heart of project delivery, where your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring strong financial performance, excellent subcontractor relationships, and seamless integration with the site management team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Leading all site-specific commercial activity from procurement through to final account.
2. Managing budgets, forecasts, and cost control with accuracy and attention to detail.
3. Working closely with site and project teams to ensure smooth delivery and optimal value.
4. Building strong working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
5. Providing commercial insight to support strategic decisions and reporting.
6. Mentoring junior staff and contributing to a positive team culture on-site.

7. Proven experience in residential housebuilding – ideally with volume or bespoke new homes.
8. Strong commercial acumen and a hands-on, site-aware approach.
9. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
