You will manage the department KPIs and maintain and build excellent relationships internally and externally
You will have a proven track record of creating and maintaining high standards, preferably in the transport industry
Responsibilities:
1. Planning for both short-term and long-term requirements to ensure business continuity and addressing gaps in both people and assets
2. Ensuring customer requirements are understood and carried out in a timely, controlled and recorded manner within the transport operation
3. Review opportunities for new business and manage and develop these opportunities to realisation
4. Ensure effective and efficient use of driver and vehicle resources at all times
5. Be proactive in achieving improved fuel efficiency and better MPG, as supported by efficient transport operations
6. Analysing data to monitor performance and plan improvements
7. Ensuring transport planning operations are in line with budgeted costs and achieve all contractual KPIs
8. Preparing and submitting various KPI reports and reporting to the company senior management
