SEMH Secondary Teacher
NextGen Teachers are proud to be working with a privately funded SEND school, based in Huddersfield, who are looking for a specialist SEN/ SEMH Teacher to start in September. The school offers a safe and supportive environment for young people aged between 5 and 18 with Autism and/or social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). There young people may have a number of diagnoses including ASD, ADHD, FASD, anxiety and/or, communication and interaction, cognition, and learning needs.
The school are looking for a candidate who is able to teach a year 10 class and can teach English or Science. This is preferred, but not necessary.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teaching Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching SEN/ SEMH
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures
* The right to work in the UK
* An enhanced child DBS on the update service (or willingness to complete one)
* Two professional references
* The ability to teach English or Science (preferred but not necessary)
