We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Physiotherapist to join our Multi‑Disciplinary team to deliver a person‑centred therapy service to adults with physical deficits following an acquired brain injury or from a cerebrovascular accident. We are seeking a dynamic therapist to join our developing team of existing Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech & Language Therapist, Psychologist and Nurses at All Hallows, Suffolk. All Hallows is part of the Oakleaf Group, a leading provider of specialist brain injury inpatient rehabilitation services.


About the Service – All Hallows

All Hallows is a 29 bedded unit for men and women based in the village of Ditchingham on the Suffolk/Norfolk border. The centre supports individuals with complex healthcare needs associated with a neurological condition, including acquired brain injury.

Main duties of the job


Who Are We Looking For

The successful applicant should have a desire to develop their knowledge and skills in the field of brain injury rehabilitation. The role would ideally suit a Physiotherapist, who has completed a rotational post, or someone who is seeking to specialise in neuro rehabilitation and would like to develop their clinical skills further in this specialist field. HCPC registration is essential. Experience of working with people with neurological conditions is essential. Previous experience of specific brain injury rehabilitation is desirable.

About Us

All Hallows Specialist Neurological Rehabilitation Centre provides specialist inpatient rehabilitation for adults with complex neurological conditions, including acquired brain injury, stroke, SCI and progressive neurological disorders. We deliver active rehabilitation, high dependency care and specialist nursing within a multi‑disciplinary model focused on person‑centred outcomes.


The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a Band 5 Physiotherapist looking to develop specialist skills in neurological rehabilitation. You will work alongside experienced clinicians including Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Therapists, Psychologists, Nurses and Rehabilitation Assistants to deliver high‑quality, goal‑focused rehabilitation.


Key Responsibilities

* Deliver person‑centred physiotherapy assessment and treatment
* Manage a caseload of patients with complex neurological conditions
* Support MDT goal setting and rehabilitation planning
* Provide specialist advice on manual handling, falls prevention, spasticity management and respiratory care
* Support discharge planning and community transitions
* Contribute to service development and quality improvement

* HCPC Registered Physiotherapist

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Physiotherapist Band 5

Reports To: Therapy Lead / Clinical Lead

Accountable To: Registered Manager / Hospital Director


Job Purpose

To provide high quality, evidence‑based physiotherapy assessment and intervention for adults with neurological conditions within an inpatient specialist rehabilitation setting, working as part of a multi‑disciplinary team to maximise patient independence and recovery outcomes.


Clinical Duties

* Undertake comprehensive physiotherapy assessments
* Develop and implement goal‑orientated rehabilitation programmes
* Deliver individual and group therapy sessions
* Provide specialist advice to staff and families
* Monitor and evaluate patient progress using outcome measures
* Maintain accurate clinical records


Multi-Disciplinary Working

* Participate in MDT meetings and ward rounds
* Contribute to holistic rehabilitation planning
* Support discharge planning and community liaison
* Undertake risk assessments relating to mobility and therapy interventions
* Contribute to falls prevention strategies
* Escalate clinical concerns appropriately


Service Development

* Contribute to audit and quality improvement
* Support implementation of evidence‑based practice
* Participate in policy and pathway development


Professional Responsibilities

* Maintain HCPC registration
* Participate in supervision and appraisal
* Adhere to professional and organisational policies


Person Specification

Degree in Physiotherapy

HCPC Registration

Experience working with neurological conditions

Ability to work within MDT settings

Experience in brain injury rehabilitation
