Job Description
At Seabrook School, we are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, self-motivated maintenance assistant/ caretaker who will work to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff and visitors. The post is part-time for 10 hours per week, with the schedule and days worked to be agreed.
As a maintenance assistant/caretaker you will ensure our school site is maintained to the highest standard both indoors and out. The role will involve undertaking general repairs (within capability, general cleaning and maintenance, including decorating, basic plumbing, drain clearance and basic carpentry. You would need to be physically fit and be able to work at heights.

We would welcome applications from candidates that may lack caretaking experience but have the desire to learn and embrace new challenges.
Duties will include:
1. Taking pride in maintaining our school site both internally and externally to a very high standard
2. Undertaking health & safety inspections and keeping accurate health & safety records
3. Arranging for annual inspections to be undertaken e.g. gas, water hygiene asbestos
4. General property and site maintenance including redecoration.
