Transport Planner

Up to £33,000 per annum (d.o.e)
40 hrs per week will consider applications for either Monday Friday or 4 on 4 off
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Transport Planner to join a well-established business based in Telford. This is a permanent role within a collaborative and supportive team, where youll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient scheduling of vehicle operations to meet customer delivery expectations.
As the Transport Planner you will be getting involved in
Planning and scheduling routes for a fleet of vehicles to ensure timely deliveries
Supporting the Transport Manager with day-to-day transport operations
Ensuring all vehicle routing is optimised for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Liaising with customers to understand and plan for future delivery requirements
Allocating jobs to drivers and managing daily transport schedules
Were looking for someone who
Has recent experience in a Transport Planning role, ideally within a busy logistics or distribution environment
Is confident managing schedules for a large fleet of vehicles
Possesses knowledge of driver working time regulations
Is flexible and willing to work as part of a rota, including weekend cover when required (if working a Monday- Friday pattern)
Demonstrates excellent organisational and communication skills
Has previous experience as a Transport Planner / Route Planner / Transport Route Planner / Transport Planning Coordinator / Logistics Planner / Route Coordinator / Logistics Coordinator
