Overview
We are seeking a skilled Digger Driver to operate heavy machinery on construction sites and other industrial projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for manoeuvring excavators safely and efficiently, contributing to the successful completion of various earth-moving tasks. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in commercial driving to utilise their skills in a dynamic environment.
Duties
* Operate excavators and other heavy machinery with precision and safety awareness
* Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance
* Assist in site preparation, excavation, and material handling tasks as required
* Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a secure working environment
* Coordinate with site managers and team members to execute project plans effectively
* Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment usage
Qualifications
* Proven experience operating excavators or similar heavy machinery
* Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues
* Valid commercial driving licence (or equivalent) with a clean driving record
* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Relevant certifications or training in heavy machinery operation are desirable but not essential
