Salary: Up to £33,000

Overview
As a Quality Technician, you'll manage day-to-day inspections, support non-conformance processes, and assist with broader departmental activities including audits, calibration, and supplier management.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage non-conforming components and assemblies
* Perform investigations and develop corrective and preventative actions
* Conduct QC checks throughout the manufacturing process
* Managing goods-inwards inspections on components and assemblies e.g. mechanical and electronics
* Support supplier management and calibration systems
* Assist in internal audits and procedure development
* Conducting any root cause analysis, 8D reports, SCARs (fishbone diagram, 5WHY's etc)
Requirements
* Minimum GCSE-level education or equivalent experience
* Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
* Familiarity with metrology equipment
* Strong attention to detail and ability to learn quickly
* Organised, structured, and compliant with internal and legal standards
* Excellent communication, time management, and teamwork skills
* Experience in primary optical systems (not required)
