GSL Education are delighted to bring on board a Design Technology Teacher to schools in Sheffield (S35), empowering students to design, create, and problem‑solve through engaging lessons. In this role, the Design Technology (DT) Teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons across a variety of materials and technologies, encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and real-world application of skills. Core Role Expectations: Plan and deliver practical and theory-based lessons in line with the Design Technology curriculum. Support pupils in developing design, construction, and problem-solving skills. Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment. Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback as Design Technology Teacher. Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school objectives and projects. What We’re Looking For: Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Experience teaching Design Technology in a secondary school setting. Strong classroom management, practical skills, and communication abilities. Commitment to safeguarding and supporting learners of all abilities.
