Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter/Decorator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for construction painting and decorating to develop their skills within a professional environment. Applicants should possess strong communication skills and a valid driving licence, as travel between sites may be required.
Responsibilities
* Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
* Apply paints, varnishes, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
* Interpret technical drawings and specifications to meet project requirements
* Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard of quality
* Maintain a clean and organised work area at all times
* Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and any issues that arise
* Follow health and safety regulations diligently during all tasks
Experience
* Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is preferred
* Familiarity with different types of paints, finishes, and application techniques
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
* Valid driving licence is advantageous for travelling between multiple sites
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
