The IT Business Partner (ITBP) serves as a strategic liaison between the IT department and business stakeholders, translating business needs into IT requirements. By fostering strong relationships, the ITBP ensures that IT services align with product strategies and drive value through technology. This role demands a high level of Business Analysis (BA), where the ITBP must adeptly understand complex business environments and articulate IT requirements that are strategically aligned with organisational goals. The ITBP is expected to exhibit Stakeholder Engagement (STKE) at a senior level, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation to ensure that their needs are understood and met.

* Working in collaboration with Service Management teams monitors service performance, addresses issues proactively, and works with teams to maintain service levels that meet stakeholder expectations.

* Identify risks related to IT and business alignment, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate potential impacts and solutions to stakeholders.

* Lead continuous improvement initiatives, facilitate process optimisations, and engage cross‑functional teams to drive value through technological innovation.

* Define metrics to measure IT initiative impact, communicate benefits to stakeholders, and refine processes based on performance insights.

* Map value streams, identify inefficiencies, and develop plans for process optimisation aligned with business objectives.
Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow. Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You'll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.

* Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, Computer Science, or a related field; master’s degree or MBA preferred and/or 5+ years in IT‑business relationship management, business analysis, or strategic IT roles.

* Proven expertise in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and performance management with a record of leading cross‑functional initiatives that enhance business value.

* Communication: Must excel in active listening and tailored communication to bridge the gap between IT and business units effectively. Strong skills in influence and relationship‑building are essential for fostering collaboration and gaining stakeholder buy‑in. This role requires the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and empathetically, ensuring alignment with business goals.

* Strategic Thinking: Aligns IT and business goals, making decisions that balance immediate needs with long‑term objectives.

* Customer‑Centric Focus: Prioritises business and customer needs, ensuring initiatives drive measurable value.

* Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Builds strong partnerships across departments, enabling alignment and smooth implementation of initiatives.

* Accountability and Ownership: Takes responsibility for outcomes, demonstrating transparency, follow‑through, and commitment to goals.

* Adaptability and Agility: Quickly adjusts to changes, maintaining effectiveness and encouraging flexibility within teams.
