Summary
The Systems & Development Team performs a wide range of critical business processes daily. We ensure that various applications are functioning correctly and investigate any issues within these systems.
Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and gain hands-on experience. You’ll develop new skills and collaborate with experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Principal Duties:
1. Assist with the administration of the Revs & Bens System.
2. Help investigate issues within supported Revs & Bens systems.
3. Assist with upgrades or project work.
4. Utilize ICT systems such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and internal systems to complete your duties.
5. Participate in training within the wider service to support your development.
Secondary Duties:
1. Participate in Council’s in-service training programmes as a trainee and, when required, as a trainer facilitator.
2. Perform other duties of a similar nature as determined by the Service Head or their representative, in consultation with you and your Trade Union if applicable.

Other requirements
If you wish to apply, you will need to complete the Rochdale Borough Council Application form via Rochdale Training. Keep an eye on your emails for invitations to interview sessions. The apprentice salary is £14,566.15 for the first 12 months and approximately £22,656 for the remaining 6 months, based on Grade 1 SCP 2. Interviews are scheduled for Wednesday, 2nd July, with an induction on Monday, 8th September 2025. If you apply for multiple vacancies, attending all interviews is encouraged.
