The Trust and The Scottish Co-operative Discovery Centre
West Calder & Harburn Community Development Trust is a community owned charitable company founded in 2013 andbased in West Lothian. We deliver a range of local initiatives and projects identified and led by our communityitself which include a Community Woods & Garden, a community café and shop, local events and a wellbeingsupport project.
We are currently a team of 10 staff who with volunteers, strive to improve the community around us via strategicallydesigned services and initiatives which are effective in providing jobs, activities and local amenities to helpimprove and drive growth in the local area.
The Trust has been successful in raising the funding to develop a local landmark building to become a national classheritage attraction – The Scottish Co-operative Discovery Centre - that also helps deliver a range of localdevelopment priorities. The main capital works element of the project is one of several interlinked strands thatinclude the exhibition, a shop, café and bistro, event and catering and an education and trainingprogramme.
The project will redevelop a derelict Victorian/Edwardian brick building of about 1200 square metres in a sympatheticmanner to house the discovery centre. The building design has been developed by a design team led by CollectiveArchitecture Ltd, has secured planning permission and is in the process of submitting for Building Warrant andcommencing a two-stage traditional tender process for a main contractor with works hoped to commence later in2024.
The project is funded by a range of funders that include The National Lottery Heritage Fund, The Scottish GovernmentRegeneration Capital Grant Fund, Historic Environment Scotland and The UK Government Community Ownership and weare looking for a project manager to manage the capital works aspect of this project.
Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly motivated, dedicated and experienced individual to fill the role of Project Manager duringthe Delivery Phase of our new Scottish Co-operative Discovery Centre. The ideal candidate will be highlyorganised with proven experience in capital projects and in the not-for-profit sector. They will workcollaboratively within a small, dedicated team led by our Project Director and be proficient in deliveringmultiple tasks on budget and within deadline and exhibit the drive to ensure project success and possessexcellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Lochgoil Community Trust is a limited company and a registered charity (SC033976), founded in April 2011. From 2018the priorities of the trust were largely determined by the Lochgoil Community Action Plan. This is beingreplaced by the Lochgoil Local Place Plan (LPP) which is based on extensive community engagement. Many potentialprojects have been identified along with the aspects relating to planning.
In close cooperation with Lochgoil Community Council and Carrick Castle Community Trust, Lochgoil Community Trustwill lead the implementation of the Local Place Plan. We are seeking the services of an experienced CommunityDevelopment and Fundraising Officer to support this mission of the Trust.
Purpose of the role
To facilitate the implementation of the Local Place Plan 2024-2029 and support the work of the Lochgoil CommunityTrust by building capacity within our community.
This includes, but is not limited to:
* Supporting project leaders by securing external funding through well-prepared grant applications and adminbackup
* Monitoring the progress of the Local Place Plan and its outputs, includingsurveys
* Facilitating online communication – website, Facebook and other social media asrequired
* Supporting with administration of Trust meetings and memberships
* Enhancing the capacityand contribution of local volunteers
* Supporting the local community to play an active role in thedelivery of the Local Place
* Stimulating interest in and awareness of local community issues andencouraging involvement in decision making
* Promoting integration and cohesion within and betweencommunity groups (i.e. Community Councils, Social Clubs, Recreation Centres)

About Gracemount Mansion Development Trust
Gracemount Mansion Development Trust (GMDT) was established in 2022 to manage the community asset transfer ofGracemount Mansion House and grounds from the City of Edinburgh Council to conserve and renovate the category Blisted Mansion, re-establishing the site as a thriving community hub. GMDT is a charity registered with OSCR(SCO052155).
Gracemount Mansion House sits within the heart of Gracemount community and has the potential to re-establish amuch-needed community-based centre rooted in a historic building.
The Gracemount project is at an early stage and we are looking for a project manager who will play a significant rolein bringing this project to life, coordinating and managing the development work to reopen part of the Mansionand grounds on a meanwhile basis, until future funding can be raised to undertake the much needed developmentwork to reopen all the building and grounds.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Youth Worker who is passionate about developing and deliveringquality, engaging & fun youth work activities for children & young people from Dumbarton West. This willinclude our youth clubs, youth groups support, Youth Voice and Outdoor Learning.
Your main role will be to support our Youth work lead/Centre Manager to plan, develop and deliver an exciting andengaging youth work programme including our established youth groups and youth work provision. This will includesetting up, running projects, arranging workshops, organising training and events, providing activities to bringchildren & young people together.
You will work closely with children & young people, their families and any relevant partners, to ensure they areinformed and supported to participate in any programmes, and any other community based activities. The postholder should be flexible as the actual times of work may change to respond to the demands of the work includingovernight stays for residential & trips.
Key Responsibilities
* To support the development and delivery of our youth work support for children and young people aged 5-18 years.
* To support children and young people’s involvement in the planning and delivery of youth work that meets their needs.
