Job Description:
The ideal candidate is passionate about managing and developing client relationships and uncovering insights as to how asset managers can improve their efforts related to distribution, marketing, product, and strategy.
The Relationship Manager will report directly to Head of Investment Management – North America and partner to actively manage a set of existing Investment Management clients, and identify new prospects, primarily located in North America. On behalf of these accounts, the Relationship Manager is responsible for analyzing the asset management market and guiding clients in understanding how institutional investors, intermediaries and investment consultants view them. The individual will manage existing client engagements (In conjunction with Head of Investment Management) with asset management providers evaluating competitive opportunities and key strategic, organizational, operational and technology challenges for each client, based on its specific competencies and long-term objectives.
Working hand-in-hand with other members on the team, you spend the majority of your time managing and growing existing relationships and delivering our products and services to the top North American and global asset managers. The expectation of this role is that you are highly skilled in both building relationships with existing clients and in uncovering new opportunities through effective sales strategies and will have the opportunities to develop / manage a subset of their own clients 6-18 months after hiring as appropriate.
In this position, the expectation of a Relationship Manager will be to master the firm’s proprietary research methodology and consult with clients. In addition, we are seeking individuals who demonstrate great passion and commitment, model impeccable ethical behavior and integrity, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Principal Responsibilities:
· Develop Coalition Greenwich’s research and consulting practice by understanding the evolving needs of our client base.
· Further increase revenues with leading investment managers through managing relationships and assisting in cross selling/up selling product capabilities.
· Win new business through a carefully organized business development process, including generating proposals and pitching to prospects.
· Partner with the team to drive forward the Investment Management thought leadership initiatives.
· Participate in conferences and Coalition Greenwich PR activities to further penetrate our recognition with leading asset managers.
· Support the Investment Management sector in the design and development of its core data products to ensure continuous evolution and alignment with client needs.
Qualifications/Experience:

Furthermore, the ideal candidate should possess the following essential (and desired) requirements:
* BA/BS degree, progress towards MBA, and/or CFA designation beneficial but not required
* 5-7 years of experience consulting to the investment management industry and/or working for a leading asset management organization.
* Strong Understanding of global market products
* Demonstrated experience in developing long-term client relationships.
* Proven ability to conceive new business ideas and implement them successfully in a financially profitable way.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a relationship team.
* Flexibility to travel up to 10-20% and able to work with clients in other locations and countries.
