Freelance Site Engineer – Groundworks Leicestershire Start Date: 06/07/2026 Duration: 6 Months £300 - £350 PER DAY SOS Group are recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to join a busy groundworks and civil engineering project on a 6-month contract commencing on 6th July 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong setting out experience to join a well-established contractor delivering a substantial groundworks package. Duties & Responsibilities * Setting out for, drainage, roads, foundations and associated infrastructure. * Producing and maintaining accurate QA records. * Managing and reviewing as-built surveys. * Liaising with site management, subcontractors and client representatives. * Ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications and programme requirements. * Supporting site teams with technical queries and engineering solutions. Requirements * Competent using Leica, Topcon or Trimble equipment. * Strong understanding of QA procedures and site documentation. * Ability to work independently and manage your own workload. * CSCS Card essential. * Full UK Driving Licence.
