Due to our clients preference, we are seeking to recruit female Children's support Worker it would be advantageous ifapplicants are also able to drive with a UK driving licence.

You will be a professional who actively involves your clientin their care and support needs. Your role focuses on creating meaningfulinteractions and professional relationships with your clients, families andother healthcare professionals involved within their care.
You will be trained specificallyin your clients needs to ensure your competency and skills. You will be supported and guided throughoutyour role by our management team to help your progression in your role.
Your availability for workrequires to remain the same as you will be supporting your own clients on aregular basis on either a one to one or two to one basis.
The support visits are from 4hours up to 12 hour blocks at any one time during the day and night.
You will be required to work on atwo-week rolling rota where you be expected to work alternate Saturdays andSundays. (This is a necessity for the role)

The role involves supportingindividuals with their daily living activities such as:
Personalcare
Toileting
Nutrition& hydration requirements (specialised feeding techniques)
Medicationadministration
Communityaccess undertaking activities your client enjoys such as going to the park,bowling, swimming, arts/crafts, shopping, meals out. Literally any activity ourclients are interested in!
Accessingand accompanying at school
Accompanyingto use public transport

Summary of role
To share withother staff in meeting the personal care and support needs of customers in away that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes theirindependence. The care and support provided by Care and Support Workers isexpected to include support that would reasonably be given by members of the clientsfamily and is not to include tasks that would normally be undertaken by atrained nurse.
Principal responsibilities
To assist clientswho need help getting up and going to bed in the morning and evenings, includingdressing and undressing, washing, bathing and going to the toilet.
To help clientswith their mobility and with any physical disabilities, including incontinenceand use of personal aids and equipment.
To supportclients out in the community such as trips shopping, to the cinema or other daytrips.
To care for clientswho are temporarily sick and need bed nursing and help with feeding etc.
To provide careand support for clients who may be terminally ill.
To help in thepromotion of mental and physical activities of clients through talking,outings, reading, writing, hobbies and recreations.
To make andchange beds, light cleaning, emptying commodes and general tidying.
To supportclients within school or educational settings.
To supportclients with tracheostomy care, PEG care and other complex health conditionswhere applicable.
To prepare andserve light meals, clearing away and washing up.
To read andwrite reports and be involved in clients reviews and training activities.
To adhere toall Caremarks policies and procedures at all times.
To reporteither to the Case Leader or Care Manager any significant changes in the healthor circumstances of a client.
To encouragethe independence of clients wherever possible.
