Position Description:
Historically, the role of IT has been to provide a reliable foundation to run the business, drive efficiencies and reduce costs. These areas remain integral to support the delivery and growth of information technology solutions.
However, driven by the pace of innovation, IT must evolve, proactively partnering with Business to enable new digital business models and power new types of customer engagement.
TechOps will support this transformation through the creation and delivery of a progressive global technology ecosystem. This ecosystem will be forward-looking, whilst maintaining appropriate controls to support sensitive business processes (particularly Manufacturing). The architecture must seamlessly integrate and not act as a barrier to innovation, agility, and/or speed to value.
The main activities of the Integration Architect will be to support our Major Programme initiatives covering all areas of Network (including Network Security), Network Services, Data centre and Telephony. Focussing on Enterprise level projects such as Lifecycle Management, new site stand-up and OT Cyber Security.
The role requires technical breadth and depth, a proven track record of enterprise delivery and the ability to articulate complex technical topics that result in a definitive direction. The role will work primarily with the Programme Directors and Integration Leads, but also work closely with the Lead Infrastructure Architect, the CTO and enterprise architecture community and the TechOps architecture community as well as the Managed Service partners delivering Networking and infrastructure services.
This role does not include people administration; however, mentoring of engineering staff will be necessary, as well as providing domain-specific technical leadership and decision making for the integration activities.

Responsibilities:
Architecture Leadership
* Define, embed and maintain compliance to the global network strategy, including a clear execution plan for the integration.
* Partner with the Lead Infrastructure Architect to ensure delivery, documentation and quality & compliance adherence.
* Identify opportunities to optimize and modernize the network architecture, driving cost efficiencies.
Technical Leadership
* Provide network architecture technical leadership and decision making for the Integration team
* Establish strong partnerships across the architecture community and Information Security, helping to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
* Where required, deep dive key initiatives to help overcome major incidents, complex problems and/or realise opportunities.
* Help to embed security, privacy, data protection and quality assurance across IT.
External Engagement & Delivery
* Engage with our MSPs to understand the landscape, topology and architecture.
* Responsible for any planning, build and delivery, and transition of the Integration initiatives.
* Engage in the community (internally and externally) across multiple channels, looking to share, educate and inspire.
Experience:
* 10+ years of experience in technology project leadership, managing and advancing complex, global environments.
* 10+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise technology solutions.
* 10+ years of experience across telecommunications and networking, including LAN, WLAN, WAN, DNS, DHCP, NAC, and DIA.
* 5+ years of experience working with Palo Alto Network Firewall infrastructure
* Good working knowledge of hybrid multi-cloud architecture (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, VMWare etc.)
* Good working knowledge of modern architecture methodologies (Service Orientated Architecture, API-Centric Design, Twelve-Factor App, FAIR, etc.)
* Experience defining and executing large-scale, transformative strategic plans.
* Demonstrated influence and communication skills across all levels of IT and third-parties.
* Demonstrated strength in facilitation skills.
* Strong organizational and communications skills with multiple examples of being able to convey complex ideas in a manner that resulted in a definitive direction and result.
Education Requirements:
Required: Bachelor’s Degree.
Desired: Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCIE or equivalent.
Other Information:
Overseas travel may be required.
