Main duties of the job:
What we’re looking for
* Relevant professional qualification (DMU, PgD or MSc in Medical Ultrasound) with professional registration (e.g. HCPC).
* Strong experience across general, gynae and small parts Ultrasound.
* NHS experience and completion of a CASE-accredited course.
* Confident communicator with excellent clinical judgement and attention to detail.
* Flexibility to travel across Blackpool clinics (driving licence and access to a car desirable).
* Proficiency in using patient management databases and PACS systems (desirable).

Job responsibilities
* Conduct a variety of ultrasound examinations according to established guidelines, including unsupervised scanning sessions.
* Deliver comprehensive ultrasound scanning and reporting services within your scope of practice, interpreting images and providing accurate examination reports.
* Adhere to Trust protocols and policies when working on Trust sites, ensuring compliance and high standards of practice.
* Collaborate with referring clinicians; request Radiologist review of reports when necessary.
* Uphold exceptional patient care in a safe and clean environment, in line with Diagnostics Healthcare policies.
* Manage clinic sessions efficiently with Diagnostic Imaging Assistants to ensure a smooth patient experience.
* Contribute to training of other medical staff (radiographers and professionals) as agreed with Regional Ultrasound Managers.
* Participate in audit and clinical governance activities under the guidance of the Regional Ultrasound Manager.
* Engage in continuing professional development and stay current with developments in medical ultrasound.
* Maintain high personal and professional standards in ultrasonography and patient care.
