Job Title: Forest School Leader (Maternity Cover)
Salary: £12,223 – £14,361 per annum (TA3 Scale Point 7–17, pro rata, dependent on experience)
Hours: Part-time – Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8.30am – 3.30pm (30-minute lunch break)
Location: Astley CE Primary School, Worcestershire
Contract: Maternity cover (initially one term)
About the role
Astley CE Primary School is a small rural school set in beautiful countryside. We are a Church of England school with a warm, nurturing ethos where children are well known as individuals and encouraged to thrive.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Forest School Leader to join our team and lead outdoor learning across the school. You will plan and deliver high-quality, child-led Forest School sessions for children aged 3–11, as well as running our weekly Astley Acorns parent and toddler group.
The role includes maintaining a safe and engaging outdoor learning environment, supporting children’s holistic development through nature-based learning and promoting confidence, resilience and environmental awareness. You will work closely with staff, volunteers and families to ensure Forest School experiences are inclusive, safe and inspiring for all pupils.
