The Topsham Primary School is looking for a Mealtime Assistant, to support pupils during the lunchtime period. The position will be a permanent appointment, working hours per day, to over five days, term time only.
This is ideally suited to someone who has experience of working with children in a school environment.
You will be required to:
1. Set up and clear down the hall for lunches.
2. Supervise and where applicable provide support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to playtime activities.
3. Promote good eating habits and manners.
4. Establish positive relationships with pupils, and interacting with them according to individual needs.
5. Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
6. Encourage pupils to interact with others and to engage in activities over the lunchtime period.
7. Promote self-esteem, good behaviour and independence.
8. Provide feedback where necessary to the Line Manager/Teacher.
