About the Role
SARC HCP and FNE both JDs to be attached to this advertisement.
Location: The Humberside SARC
Salary: £43,005.07 FTE Based on 40 hours per week
This is for 24 hours per week.
Hours: Shifts between 9am-5pm, 5pm-1am, and 1am-9am. Rota basis covering 24/7, 365 days per year, including weekend and evening shifts on-call.
This role offers a unique opportunity for compassionate healthcare professionals such as RNs, Midwives, RMNs, or Paramedics to join a growing service within Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARC). Full training and support will be provided to become a qualified Forensic Practitioner, with options for further higher education after one year.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct forensic examinations and obtain forensic exhibits according to FFLM guidelines.
* Develop forensic strategies and work with external MDTs and Police.
* Serve as the first point of contact for victims, Police, and Social Services regarding referral pathways.
* Manage and promote self-referral pathways.
* Undertake holistic assessments including sexual health, mental health, and safeguarding.
* Support continuous quality improvement of the service.
* Work in compliance with the Forensic Science Regulator requirements.
* Obtain consent for health and forensic procedures.
* Qualifications: Registered Nurse, Midwife, Paramedic with at least 3 years relevant post-qualification experience.
* Knowledge of safeguarding, confidentiality, and autonomous working.
* Applicants must be female due to the nature of the role, in accordance with the Sex Discrimination Act.
* A UK driving license and access to a vehicle are required due to travel across locations.
* Enhanced DBS and Level 2 Police vetting are mandatory.
