Specialising in advanced technology, this pioneering organisation has built a strong reputation for engineering innovation and product development. With ambitious growth plans and continued investment into R&D, they are now looking to expand their prototype engineering team with the addition of an Apprentice Prototype Technician.
In this role, you will support the design and manufacture of prototypes and components used for development, testing and evaluation. You will work closely with the R&D team, operating specialist equipment including 3D printers, CNC machinery and workshop tools, while assisting with prototype assembly, finishing and testing activities.
This role would therefore suit a hands‑on and motivated individual with a keen interest in engineering, manufacturing or prototyping, who is looking to develop specialist technical skills within an exciting and fast‑moving company.
Role
* Supporting manufacture of prototype parts and assemblies
* Operating rapid prototyping equipment including 3D printers and CNC machines
* Cleaning, finishing and assembling prototype components
* Supporting R&D and prototype testing activities
* Assisting with workshop organisation and stock management
£22,000 – £26,000 + Training + Progression + 33 Days Holiday
Person
* Strong practical and hands‑on aptitude
* Keen interest in engineering, manufacturing or product development
* Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
* Experience with CAD, 3D printing, CNC machinery or workshop tools is advantageous
* Commutable to Long Eaton area
