Moor Allerton Elderly Care (aka MAECare) is an independent charity providing services for older adults in the Moor Allerton, Alwoodley and Shadwell areas of Leeds. One of the 37 Neighbourhood Networks across Leeds, our role is to ensure older adults can easily access the support and services they need as they get older. Activities are a crucial part of what we provide to complement our busy and vibrant range of services at our centre on Cranmer Bank.
We are recruiting a Finance Officer. You will be responsible for paying salaries, recording and reconciling financial transactions using both computer based records and QuickBooks, preparing management accounts and draft annual accounts for auditors, assisting the Chief Operating Officer in preparing annual budgets and budgets for funding applications, maintaining petty cash floats, ensuring card transactions and gift aid are recorded, and that appropriate insurance cover is maintained. Ability to understand financial principles and keep financial records, and experience of a computer accounts package is essential.
10 - 15 hours per week, depending on workload.
