About the Role
This is a full-time role working 38.5 hours with shifts from 8am–8pm or 8pm–8am. Full flexibility is required.
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is at the core of every action. You will support residents in Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes, delivering personalised care that gives residents a sense of security, dignity and independence. You will lead a team of Care Assistants, maintain the highest standards of care, and act as a positive influence on the team. You may assist with activities of daily living, meals at the end of life, or conversations with residents' families, always with kindness.
You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and you may administer medication. You will maintain accurate records and build strong relationships with your team.
Ideally, you’ll have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care and be prepared to work towards Level 3 or equivalent, with a background in person-centred care planning and dementia care knowledge. What’s essential is your positive energy and ability to get along with people, strong record-keeping, time management, and a consistently considerate and kind approach.

Responsibilities
* Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain high standards of care.
* Provide personalised care plans and build strong relationships with residents and families.
* Assist with activities and social/ recreation programs; administer medication as needed.
* Ensure accurate record keeping and effective time management.
* Support residents with daily living activities, including end-of-life care where appropriate.
Qualifications
* Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care (or equivalent); willing to work towards Level 3.
* Background in person-centred care planning and dementia care knowledge.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, positive energy, and the ability to work well with residents and colleagues.
