Southall is a premier destination bringing nature, produce and people together in a powerful and unique way. The Spa at Southall Esthetician will deliver expert skincare advice and transcendent spa experiences in accordance with the standards training provided by Southall.
Responsibilities:
* Provide consistent professional esthetics treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices
* Be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the spa
* Analyze guest’s skin and prescribe the appropriate facial treatment
* Explain products and reasons for the prescribed treatment to members and guests
* Prepare the facial and waxing equipment and supplies daily
* Maintain supply and treatment areas as directed
* Submit supply requests to the Spa Director in a timely fashion to ensure proper product availability for members and guests
* Stay current on the latest thinking pertinent to the department and become well-versed and trained in its application
* Ensure a pleasant visit for each member and guest and maintain effective member/guest relations
* Promote and execute effective retail sales
* Be knowledgeable and informed regarding all spa and general club programs and services
* Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures
* Promote positive guest relations for all guests by providing prompt, courteous and efficient service
* Treat all sensitive personal medical information on members and guests in strictest confidence
* Maintain personal appearance and grooming standards consistent with the Southall Standards
* Report any problems incurred immediately to the supervisor on duty
* Report for scheduled shifts promptly and ready to work
* Work diligently to support The Spa at Southall hospitality and team philosophy throughout the property
* Comply with all departmental and company policies
* Maintain confidentiality of all Spa guest proprietary information
* Resolve guest complaints in a manner which promotes positive member and guest relations
* Maintain accurate property information through daily use of email and other forms of communication
* Comply with Forbes Five Star Standards of Spa Service
Skills and Experience:
* Must be skilled in all aspects of proper skin care and waxing
* Minimum two years experience as an esthetician in a high-end salon or spa environment
* Excellent personal appearance, good communication skills and a friendly, congenial personality is a must
* Ability to work in a high-volume, busy service environment while maintaining composure and focusing on the member and guest.
Education:
* High School diploma or the equivalent required
* Have and maintain a current Tennessee Esthetics license
