Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for a permanent Electrician role based in the Highlands. This role will be based on a 40 hour a week contract, with the opportunity for overtime and standby payments.
The Electrician will undertake cyclic and reactive repairs to electrical street lighting across the North West of Scotland. The successful applicant will work within shift requirements and participate in an emergency standby rota. This role also occasionally requires periods away from the operational base.
Role Includes
* Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults efficiently to minimise disruptions to road users.
* Adhering to safety standards and regulations to uphold the safety of the public and your team.
* Providing technical expertise and recommendations for continuous improvements.
Knowledge, Skills And Experience
* Familiar with the standard of BS7671.
* Previous experience of inspecting and maintaining private electrical supplies.
* Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to perform efficiently under demanding conditions.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
* In-depth knowledge of electrical safety regulations and practices.
* Willingness to work in various conditions, including heights and confined spaces.
* A fully approved UK driving licence.
* Mewps ticket or IPAF Highly desirable
Why work for my client?
Standby cover 1 in 5 = 121.56 per week
Overtime 1.5x day shift
Nightshift 1.3x within 40hrs
Overtime 1.8x - Nightshift over 40 hours
Pension - Matches up to 6%
Holidays - You are entitled to 20 days holiday (pro rata) per year. This entitlement will rise by 1 day (pro rata) for each year of service to a maximum of 24 days per annum.
In addition to the above, you will be awarded 1 additional day (pro rata) annual leave for every five years service, up to a maximum of a further 5 days.
