About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Sales Manager to join our team for Maternity Cover. You will be hands-on, results driven and proactive in your approach to sales increasing revenue through new and existing business.
Responsibilities
Lead the execution of all local sales activities, including managing key client and agency relationships and driving business development efforts.
Proactively seek new business opportunities to drive growth in the Corporate, Sports and MICE segments.
Have the ability to manage, analyse and present data effectively to make informed decisions on sales activity with a proven track record of demonstrating effectiveness of activities
Lead the development, negotiation, contracting, and renewal of all local corporate bedroom agreements utilising market analysis, sales research and competitor benchmarking carried out by you.
Share ideas and improve hotel operation, recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimise results and improve quality of delivery.
Be a team player with high energy and stamina. Line Management, while also supporting wider team.
Good attention to detail and punctuality are key.

Full-time, 10 Month Fixed-Term Maternity Cover
Salary:
Salary £45,855.60 pro-rata
Bonus scheme up to 20% of Annual Salary pro-rata

Schedule:
39 hour working week, working 5 of 7 days
What youll need to have:
3-5 years experience in a similar sales role ideally within the hotel/hospitality/leisure industry
Excellent communication and public speaking skills
A demonstrable network of corporate event bookers/event agency contacts
Ability to manage, analyse and present data effectively to make informed decisions on sales activity with a proven track record of demonstrating effectiveness of activities
Excellent time management skills with a natural ability to prioritise and manage workload
High energy and enthusiastic personality
