Crest Nicholson are recruiting for a Group Quality Assurance Manager to join our business.
Our group quality assurance team deliver a mix of support services to Divisional operations and provide Group assurance and compliance monitoring.
Working closely with Divisions to ensure that the processes and systems we develop are practical and consistently delivered across the group to help ensure our customers receive a high-quality new home product.
Key Responsibilities:
* Quality Assurance - Monitor compliance with key QA controls and Crest standards, including other stakeholder standards (NHBC/Premier etc).
* Standard Process & Systems Development - Contribute to the development of our QA standards, processes and systems.
* Operational support - Train, coach and support operational teams in delivering to expectations.
Delivered in an agile way, largely site based (multiple locations) with mix of office and occasional home-based activity.

Standards Process & Systems Development
* Contribute towards the review and update of the Quality Management System, Good Practice Guide, Fire Safety Performance Policy, Build Manual and Quality & Customer Service Process.
* Contributor towards any working groups on build and systems compliance improvement
Operational Support
* Induct new staff in the Quality Management System - policies and processes, and the high levels of customer satisfaction expected at Crest Nicholson
* Ensure by training and coaching that the site team (Build Managers and Site/Assistant/Trainee Managers) are consistently implementing Crest standards, processes and systems as required.
Quality Assurance
* Undertake site quality inspections, including reporting and providing feedback and support to site managers and ensuring that action is taken to improve quality.
* Provide feedback to ensure that Crest standards are developed and that there is consistent use of drawings, standard details and trade specifications. Where appropriate, make recommendations to ensure continual improvement of these.
* Check the use of systems by site management that ensure compliance with Crest key controls such as:
* Build Stage Quality Compliance
* Sub-contractor quality sign-off
* Sub-contractor evidence for fire protection and insulation
* Part L photo evidence
* Check compliance to the Fire Safety Performance Policy and Quality & Customer Service Process
* Utilise reporting tools and services from external organizations such as NHBC and Premier, customer satisfaction reports to achieve compliance
* Check snagging is being managed and closed and investigate root cause of any defects
What are we looking for in a successful candidate?
* Experience in the construction/home building industry
* Detailed knowledge of the Building Regulations and new home warranty organisation (NHBC & Premier) standards
* Strong communication, coaching and training skills
* CSCS card
* Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Teams
* Proactive, self-starter, able to work on own initiative or within team
* Good understanding of Operational IT systems to record build compliance
