About the Role
This Junior Project Manager position is designed for early-career professionals eager to develop their project management expertise within a dynamic marketing environment. The role centers on supporting the planning, execution, and delivery of marketing projects for a London-based firm, with a strong emphasis on remote collaboration and cross-functional teamwork. The position requires fluency in English and the ability to work effectively during standard UK business hours (9am to 5pm GMT), coordinating with both local and international stakeholders. The Junior Project Manager will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic marketing objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the development, documentation, and maintenance of detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables for multiple concurrent marketing campaigns.
* Coordinate communication among internal teams, external vendors, and clients to ensure alignment on project objectives, milestones, and expectations.
* Monitor project progress, proactively identifying potential risks or bottlenecks, and escalating issues to senior project managers as needed.
* Track project budgets and resource allocation, ensuring efficient use of time and materials while adhering to financial constraints.
* Prepare and distribute regular project status reports, meeting agendas, and post-meeting action items to all stakeholders.
* Support the organization and facilitation of virtual meetings, workshops, and brainstorming sessions using remote collaboration tools.
* Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, briefs, schedules, and feedback, ensuring all records are up to date and accessible.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes by gathering feedback and suggesting enhancements to workflows and tools.
* Ensure all project activities comply with company policies, data privacy regulations, and industry best practices.
Required Experience & Skills
* Demonstrated fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills suitable for a professional, international environment.
* Foundational understanding of project management principles, methodologies (such as Agile or Waterfall), and best practices, ideally gained through coursework, certification, or practical experience.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced marketing setting.
* Proficiency with remote collaboration and project management tools such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, Trello, Asana, or similar platforms.
* Basic financial literacy, including experience tracking budgets, expenses, or resource allocation.
* High attention to detail, accuracy, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team, demonstrating reliability and accountability in a remote work environment.
* Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools, processes, and marketing concepts as required.
* Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders and facilitate productive discussions.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or a related field is preferred.
* Entry-level project management certification (such as CAPM, PRINCE2 Foundation, or equivalent) is advantageous but not required.
* Previous internship or work experience in a marketing, advertising, or project coordination role is beneficial.
* Demonstrated commitment to professional development in project management or marketing fields.
