Nursery Room Leader – Southampton (Portswood)
A well‑established, not‑for‑profit nursery in Southampton (Portswood) is seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Room Leader to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a values‑driven setting that prioritises both children’s development and staff wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a room, ensuring high standards of care and education
* Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with EYFS
* Support, mentor, and develop team members
* Build strong relationships with parents and carers
* Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies are upheld
Requirements:
* Level 3 qualification in Early Years (essential)
* Previous experience in a senior or Room Leader role
* Strong understanding of EYFS and safeguarding
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Package:
* £14.80 per hour (40 hours per week)
* Salary negotiable for the right candidate
* Nursery operating hours: 8:00am – 6:00pm
