Purpose of the job:
* To work in KS1 under the instruction and guidance of teaching/senior staff to implement learning activities with individuals/groups of children, in or out of the classroom.
* To support high quality teaching and learning through involvement in planning, preparation and assessment.
* To provide cover supervision as and when required.
* To provide lunchtime supervision in the school hall/playground and take a leading role in managing lunchtime staff and provision for pupils.
Essentially, you will:
* Have at least NVQ Level 3 in teaching assistance or equivalent.
* Have good, personal literacy/numeracy skills (GCSE English and mathematics or equivalent).
Ideally, you will:
* Have training in/experience of teaching Read, Write Inc (Phonics) to small groups of pupils.
