EDAG Engineering UK is a small but growing collaborative team focusing on key UK customers, with access to large multidisciplinary teams globally. Our core business is providing engineering solutions to automotive companies and suppliers.
Due to business growth, we are seeking a Project Engineer - Seats to join our team. This role is based at the customer site and offers opportunities to contribute to our expansion and work with key clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the main interface between EDAG and the customer for Seating, interacting professionally on-site
* Coordinate with local and EDAG Group technical resources to achieve project goals
* Prepare and maintain engineering release and change documentation
* Manage customer’s part release system
* Collaborate with seating suppliers and support vehicle development milestones and build events
* Track data maturity, status, issues, and seating targets including function, timing, performance, cost, weight, and quality
* Coordinate cross-functional reviews for technical issue resolution
* Support prototype, pre-production, and production vehicle builds
* Serve as the interface for all program team functions
* Represent EDAG’s reputation while working directly with customers

Requirements:
* Strong experience in Seating design and engineering
* Bachelor’s degree required; Chartered status preferred
* Relevant professional experience
* Ability to overcome cultural barriers
* Effective and calm under pressure, with good time management
* Experience in vehicle/system analysis, Master Sections, Vehicle Integration, Packaging, and Seat component assembly
* Ability to perform comprehensive Seat packaging studies
* Experience with FMEA and root cause analysis
* Knowledge of Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred)
* Strong numeracy and literacy skills
* Proficiency in CATIA V5/V6
* Competence in Microsoft Office Suite and Project, Visio
