Parts Apprentice at Vantage - Toyota York
Vantage is looking for a Parts Apprentice to join our team based in Toyota York. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £10 per hour in the first year, increasing in your second year to minimum wage for your age plus excellent benefits!
About the Apprenticeship
Over a fifteen-month period, as our Parts Apprentice, you will:
* Coordinate all parts ordering and sales to ensure customers and technicians have the parts when they need them.
* Learn to use the dealership's sophisticated computer system to log stock movements and produce orders over two years.
* Liaise with colleagues, deal with customer inquiries, both trade and retail.
* Develop skills to improve parts sales performance.
Like all apprenticeships, your program will combine training with paid employment, leading to nationally recognized qualifications. You will:
* Work at our Toyota dealership and undergo training at the Toyota Apprentice Academy in Burniston.
* Be supported by a designated assessor at the academy and by us in the dealership, gaining valuable workplace skills through practical tasks and real-life challenges.
* Receive an individually tailored learning plan, with progress monitored by your assessor who will make regular visits for on-the-job assessment and guidance.
You will achieve:
* Vocational Competence Qualification (VCQ) – IMIAL Diploma in Vehicle Parts Operations Competence at level 3.
* Vocational Related Qualification (VRQ) – IMIAL Diploma in Vehicle Parts Operations Principles at level 3.
* Functional Skills in Maths, English, and ICT.
* Advanced Apprenticeship in Vehicle Parts Certificate.
Toyota continues to lead in advanced Hybrid, Battery, Fuel cell, turbocharged Petrol Injection Engines, and chassis technology. Due to ongoing development, the industry’s need for skilled personnel increases. It's not just about vehicle technology—sophisticated parts and service systems are also essential.
This is a full-time role, typically working between 08:30 am and 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours per week.

Qualifications Required
Ideally, you’ll have achieved GCSE A-C or grades 4-9 in Maths and English, though this is not mandatory.
