Key duties and responsibilities
* Manage a mixed case load of insolvency appointments and assist team members
* Administer insolvency cases from advice to closure, including Administrations, CVLs, MVLs, Liquidations, CVAs, and sometimes Bankruptcies
* Handle creditors’ claims, including secured, preferential, and unsecured claims
* Report to secured creditors
* Assist in ongoing trading on site as needed
* Prepare documentation for statutory meetings
* Help employees with claims and liaise with redundancy payments services
* Handle daily correspondence, including non-standard ones
* Maintain accurate books, records, and inventories, ensuring their safekeeping and storage
* Conduct statutory investigations and pursue antecedent transactions
* Complete banking and cheque forms to manage estate monies correctly
* Prepare VAT and Corporation tax returns
* Ensure compliance with legislation, including SIPS
* Maintain and update case tasks and diaries
* Coordinate with professional agents, solicitors, and accountants
* Prepare supporting documents for sales
* Update case checklists and attend meetings as required
* Participate in marketing events and support team training
Reporting, relationships & management
* Support and train staff, delegate tasks
* Assist other case executives
* Report case progress to IP
Qualifications & experience
* AAT or CPI qualification is advantageous
* Experience with corporate insolvency appointments in an IP firm is required
* Knowledge of IPS Cloud is advantageous
* Proficient in IT, especially Excel, Word, and IPS
* Maintain high professional standards
* Stay updated with legislation and best practices
* Organize and manage time effectively, be flexible
* Communicate clearly and confidently
* Maintain professionalism and interpersonal skills
* Manage workload responsibly and meet deadlines
* Keep IP informed of case progress
* Show enthusiasm and commitment
* Promote the firm positively at networking events
