Care Assistant
Location: Bath, Somerset. The role is at Lambrook Court, a Retirement Living Plus development built in 2017 consisting of 50 apartments for residents over 70 with excellent on‑site facilities.
About the role
As a Care & Support Assistant you will provide the highest quality of individual care to our residents, enabling them to live later life well. You will deliver housekeeping and domestic support across the estate, including apartment cleans, and support residents to take part in activities that promote their health and wellbeing. You will help them to book appointments, arrange transport, escort to visits and assist with shopping. The role is diverse and offers an opportunity to use your people skills to make a real difference.
Key responsibilities
* Provide individualized care and support to residents.
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of apartments and common areas.
* Assist residents with appointments, transport, shopping and leisure activities.
* Support residents’ independence and wellbeing.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Warm, friendly, compassionate manner with ideally some experience in a care or support environment.
* A passion for improving the wellbeing and happiness of older people, and an ability to work as part of a team in a busy setting.
* Strong customer‑service orientation.
* UK resident; we are not offering sponsorship.
* Preferred: QCF Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 2 qualification, or equivalent alternative qualifications and relevant experience.
Compensation and hours
Hourly rate: £12.80 per hour, plus up to £1.30 for working evenings and weekends. Hours: 18 per week.
