Senior Debt Recovery Litigation Paralegal
Salary: £27,500 to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Paralegal to join our Litigation team. The role involves managing your own caseload of non‑standard defended County Court claims, coaching junior team members, and contributing to team operations and development.
What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Paralegal you’ll take ownership of a varied portfolio of technical defended litigation matters. You’ll act as the first point of escalation for Grade 2 Paralegals, offering hands‑on guidance, quality assurance and technical support. You’ll work closely with the Technical Litigation Manager to shape team processes, delivering training, client onboarding, precedent maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities
* Manage a varied personal caseload of technical defended litigation matters
* Develop and support Grade 2 Paralegals, including first‑line escalation and coaching
* Carry out quality checks on correspondence and instructions drafted by junior colleagues
* Support training delivery, client onboarding, precedents and team briefings
* Monitor compliance, SLAs and procedural deadlines
About you
* At least 3 years’ experience as a Paralegal managing your own caseload
* Law degree (or GDL) and undertaking or completed SQE / LPC / CILEX Level 6
* Confident supervising others and providing constructive feedback
* Strong organisational, communication and drafting skills
Core working hours
6 hours per day, Monday to Friday, with two options: 9:30 am – 3:30 pm or 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.
