A dedicated transitional care unit allows as to provide a higher level of care for some babies without separating them from their mother. The unit provides the full range of medical neonatal care from 22 weeks' gestation and above including novel modes of ventilation, HFOV, nitric oxide. We look after 80-100 babies born < 1500 grams a year.
